Lacy French Tips

As far as I remember the pink polish is from Sweet Colour range from Born Pretty.  The French tips were stamped with Essence white and a stamping plate from Born Pretty

Pink and Silver Argyll

Ugh, how dry does my skin look! No wonder people apply cuticle oil before taking pictures of their nails.

I used two Essence polishes here, a pink and a white, and stamped the Argyll design with Born Pretty Silver polish.

I'm away to apply some cuticle oil.  See you tomorrow with more polish.

Blue Houndstooth

It was a houndstooth check that brought me to nail art in the first place.  I saw the false nails hanging on a display in the chemist's - black and white houndstooth - but I didn't want false nails, I just wanted houndstooth pattern on my nails so for the first time ever I went to a nail salon.  I had never really looked after my nails before that.   I had my nails done in a few salons after that but none of them knew how to do houndstooth.  Then I discovered nail stamping.

When I see the nail pics enlarged I'm always horrified at the lack of proper cleanup around the cuticles!

See you tomorrow with more polish

PS... polish at Penneys

The PS...  polishes in Penneys (if you live in Ireland.  In the UK they are Primark and I think Poundworld stock these polishes) are a lovely formula, nice and thick and highly pigmented.  I just loved these neutral colours and put them all on my nails.

I know you can see some tip wear but the polish was on 4 or 5 days by the time I took the picture.  I think it's great nail polish for the money.  I start by thinking, I will put on some neutral polish for work, but then I can't resist doing a bit of stamping.  The flowers are from a Bundle Monster plate stamped with Essence white nail polish and a clear jelly stamper from Born Pretty.

Back tomorrow with more nails

OPI Polish €5.99 at TK Maxx Athlone

Hi ! I do love OPI polish but at €14.95 it's quite expensive.  Any time I'm near a TK Maxx store I always go in for a root around the polish shelves and never fail to find a bargain.  I've been known to find Seche Vite Fast Drying Top Coat (a favourite) for around 5 or 6 euros and there's almost always a bottle or two of OPI - I was delighted to find some Alpine Snow in TK Maxx Mullingar a few weeks ago.

Today in Athlone Town Centre TK Maxx had quite a few bottles of OPI in various colours along with lots of other polishes at knock down prices. No, I didn't buy them all - get in there quick and check them out!

The manicure pictured was done using OPI Strawberry Margarita and Essence Polishes in Black and White for stamping - cheap as chips from Penneys.  The stamping plates used were from Bundle Monster.  Top coat: Seche Vite

See you tomorrow with more polish.  Have you tried stamping your nails? Where did you buy the supplies?
